ABOUT ME
Hi, I am Laura Palazzolo, a graphic designer and photographer — using my camera to document the world and sometimes to create beautiful fiction; I am a storyteller, capturing the essence of a moment with light, color and shape.
I inherited my love of photography from my father, and I have been exploring that love since childhood. From my first pony ride, I fell in love with the sleek, graceful beauty of the horse, and I dreamed of them until I was lucky enough to have that dream fulfilled with my own horse, Challengette.
Over the years, my love of photography and horses have led me to capture the uniqueness of the horse in every aspect of it’s life — from stall, to pasture to the show ring. Recognizing the love and devotion of my fellow horsemen has led me to the pursuit of capturing the special bond people have with their horse through the art of the portrait. I have found that like the Horse Whisperer, conversations with your horse can have a great bonding affect and capturing those special moments are priceless. My goal is to increase the appreciation of the horse and create a photographic journal of these magnificent creatures through my photography.
PORTRAIT SESSIONS
I started out photographing horses only, but have recently started photographing people with or without their favorite pet or equine.
My goal is to capture a moment or the personality of my subjects - to tell a story. You will often see me trailing behind a child, horse or dog, with camera in hand ready to capture that special moment.
